In search of truth in her expression, Juliana Riccardi allows a number of sounds and styles to influence her authentic energy on the bandstand and the studio. Based in Los Angeles, the singer-songwriter and consummate band leader holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance from The City College of New York in Harlem, a degree whose related deep dive into the lineage of Black music has informed her connection to the blues as well as roots Americana and rock and roll. Once out West, Juliana rejected a would-be fate in music publishing, instead sharing her music with neighbors at art festivals, around local hubs and on the sidewalks of LA. Eventually, her openness – and commitment to playing for herself – would lead to enduring friendships and creative associations with equally open local artists. In 2020, Juliana issued her debut EP Simple, a release that quickly became a fan favorite, garnering more than 10K streams for “With You.” Now, with the release of Full Cup, the singer-songwriter and burgeoning producer unveils a new dimension of her dynamic sound through orchestration and curation as well as composition and performance. - Stephanie Jones NY
